  • Tautau Moga and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck Footage?

Does anyone know if there is some footage of Moga or RTS in action online?

I hope its not like Ryan Williamson's or Du Plessis footage.

Both Youtube world beaters that never made First Grade.

The thing many people mistake about Youtube footage of these kids is its under 20s - a huge step down from 1st grade. What they look like in teh 20s is no indication if they can hack 1st Grade. Everyone's expecting Moga to be the next Australian Centre. Well teh jury is still out no matter how "good" he's been in the U20s.

The only footage you want to see is him breaking through 3 or 4 tacklers and outsprinting the opposition in a first grade game. All other footage is useless IMO.

Exactly. If you want a perfect example look at Dale Copley.. He makes 2-6 linebreaks a game in toyota cup and make's his opposite winger wish he wasn't born.. But in 1st grade he's average if not below average. Can't seem to hold onto the ball in 1st grade.

I would assume roosters coaching & management be fair judges on what makes a genuine 1st grade prospect.

As they believed Moga was ready for senior grade over a year ago, obviously he was ready back then.

The Auckland Blues & the All Blacks had a similar opinion of Tuivasa-Scheck, believing he too was ready to play at Senior level before signing with the roosters. As a winning Captain for Otahuhu, the junior All Blacks & junior Kiwis he's not your run o' the mill prospect...

Therefore, their potential for a successfull transition to top grade NRL would be somewhat higher than a Ryan Williamson or a Du Plessis. I'm confident their talent & mental capacity, like the young Lama Tasi (2011) will shine beyond their years....

Footage of Inglis tearing them up for Norths in the Qld Cup was a sign of things to come, why can't we dream about Moga and RTS?

You are right...its not the NRL, but I can remember watching footage of GI tearing it up for Norths in Qld Cup, similarly, I first spotted a behemoth named Dave Taylor playing for Broncos feeder club Toowoomba. People just want to see what they hype is about. Most of us know that the step from 20's or Q Cup is massive and that a $1 for every budding superstar would be enough to pay SBW's first monthly check, but we are still allowed to dream and hope.

Geez you are getting negative Friar! First Mini cannot contest the Sydney to Hobart, now we cannot dare to dream. Sure Moga has plenty to prove, however if people cannot dream in January, well what would Souths supporters be doing?

If it weren't true it would be negative. I remember all the YouTube hype and neither made it to first grade.

I agree with Melon in that the U20s means nothing, its a useless rubbish comp. In the NRL defense means a lot, in the U20s it means nothing.
Saying that its universally agreed that Moga is something special and will make the step up, as will Tanne Milne (still only 16) who I think is better. Moga would have already played NRL except that there is now an age restriction

I dont think the Warriors U20 sides think that. Every player from the 2010 U20;s Warriors team has a NRL contract with 1 of the clubs.

I dont think the u20's comp is to bad but it's the grade between NYC & NRL that is the problem.

Hey mate, there isn't much at all on RTS that I'm aware of other than some clips of his Otahuhu team playing that could be found with a search of the threads on this forum. Also, you may want to correct the spelling of the ninth word in your third sentence.
