      Thanks for the pics

I think Takairangi should be in the Roosters 17 before Arona.

He is to good a player to be playing for Newtown.
Same go's for Tom. Im convinced Smith does not rate Tom. I think Smith would pick Cherro before Tom.

        Thanks MRIHK

Taka should be in the squad for sure he can cover a couple of positions and he has a high work rate

Smith has been quoted as saying that he's rated both Symonds and Cherrington as the two most talented young backrowers he has ever coached. So I don't think it's that he doesn't rate the guy. It's more than Symonds has been unlucky with injuries and that has been compounded by his lack of confidence when coming back. He still has excellent line breaking ability but he needs to work very hard on his strength in defence and his offensive workrate. But it's a long way back and unless we get a lot of injuries in the backrow he will figure very little unless his form for Newtown is unreal.

I agree that Takairangi is too good to be playing for Newtown. Arona has been one of the best forwards so far in the trials but I too would pick Takairangi ahead of him. His versatility is superior, being able to play in the backrow, front row and centres. And he looks like the type of player that, if given free reign, could deliver offloads every time they take the ball up. His size is also very understated and he seems to draw 3 players into the tackle in the middle and always draws the centre away from his man to help out his inside defender. His height and running action into the line means his arms are always free at first impact and that's accentuated by good footwork at the line. I'd have him as the second bench prop while ever Kennedy is out. If his form is could enough after that he could get himself the lock position if it's still there for the taking. He's probably the perfect lock when you think about it. Can play the 3rd prop role. Can play the loose forward if need be. And has experience in a ball-playing role having played a bit of five-eighth in the past. Just needs to work on his fitness a bit more.

P.S. Top work Carlos. That shot of Taka hitting the line in the air is a cracker mate.
