No question he's very talented, but most of what he does is pre-meditated, and it's almost always for himself. It makes him very predictable to defend against, you can spot which play he's going to put on before he does it. He's not a smart player at picking and choosing his plays whatsoever. He could develop into a good halfback if he learns to play in a team, but some players never learn, Sandow may be one of them IMO.

Adding to that, Sandow is a little cat, one of the dirtiest players i have seen !

if you want to put yourself through watching a souffs match, take note of sandow and the sly punches and other tactics the little shit uses.

Pearce's running game this season has been very good as has his long kicking game but it's his ball playing that has let him down... more a reflection of his forward pack I'd say... in fairness to Sandow his forward pack isn't going too much better so it's expected. Although his running game and long kicking game has also been very poor... forget statistics he is currently the worst halfback in the comp by quite a distance.
He has made a recent 'good form' streak. Up until Round 14, he had made 1 linebreak, 2 try assists and 1 linebreak assists in 12 games. However in the last 2 weeks he has made 3 try assists and one more linebreak assist, however Pearce is still lightyears ahead of him.

Anyone remember their other great hope, Eddie Paea? Or Jeremy Smith? LOL

Sandow and Sutton are both useless.
Both suffer from being lauded as the new superstars at Souths. Watch them and for every good thing they do, they take 3 or 4 wrong options. Its the little things these guys can't do.
Fortunately (I say tongue in cheek), they are the sort of players that Souths creates, they need some good coaching and sometimes a kick up the backside but as soon as somone tries to do this the players run to the manangement winging about the coach.

Neither players would do well or last long under someone like Bennett without a complete change in attitude

No wonder they signed Matt Mundine. Sounds like he fits the bill well.

They are useless arrogant little shits that run reputations off a couple of good things done in a season.
They take wrong options more often than a Roosters player has a beer

Not at all, except that Souths seems to attract that sort of player.

that is dumb stupid selfish players.

They do have a couple of good kids there but will struggle to amount to anything with the old souths culture still stinking up the place.

That's the kid that played on the wing against the Knights wasn't it? He was fantastic, got quick play-the-balls and was a handful with every touch of the ball. He is a mile in front of any winger I've seen from our junior sides this year including Earl and Tuigamala but he's seemingly disappeared as he hasn't been named since. Does anybody know what happened to him?

Even though our Toyota Cup side has not produced last season or this year, many of the players have seemed to graduate to the NRL structure eg, Williamson, Ahern, Jones, Symonds, Cherrington, Friend, Earl for the Roosters, Tamou with the Cowboys now and Winterstein for the Broncos. There's no question the club has all the talent in the world in our 20's side but there not developing them as they should be.

Honestly these guys have done nothing in the NRL...

                        Williamson has never played first-grade..

Ahern, Jones, Symonds, Cherrington and Friend have played or are playing in a team that is running stone motherless last..

Tamou had a couple of good hit-ups for the Cowboys, that is about it..

Winterstein was fortunate enough to debut in a red-hot Broncos back-line, but has lately been found out to be the ordinary player that he was at the Roosters...

Moeakiola has been injured, I believe.

Moeakiola and Towers are the best U20s wingers. Earl has never been outstanding at NYC level anyway. Last year, 13 games, 1 try, 3 linebreaks, 24 tackle breaks, average 11 runs for 90 metres. This year, 11 games, 3 tries, 2 linebreaks, 39 tackle breaks, 15 runs for 102 metres average. He makes plenty of yards, but doesn't really score much tries or break the line regularly.

We need a try poacher. Someone who can score for us regularly.

Pass the ball, what I'm trying to say is that the talent is there to be developed, but the club is not doing that in any capacity. These kids need to be blooded at the right time, not just throw them in the deep end and see if they'll sink or swim. Clubs such as the Bulldogs and the Dragons are great in developing junior talent into good established NRL players.

I don't Earl is going that bad, he's just not the game breaker the club is in need of at the moment. He's been solid with the footy but defensively has been caught out a few times, but many young wingers experience this. I'd say blood Towers or Moekiola in the top grade soon for experience but Earl is holding his own so no point in chopping and changing the team.

Roberts' problem also was his workrate, in his final few seasons he didn't put himself in enough tryscoring positions, or support offloaders.

footy is spot on. I would have thrown Towers or Moeakiola in before Earl, but now that Earl is in there, at least he doesn't look out of his depth.
