Stevo I have nothing against Pootown. My father played for the Bluebags, and he took me and my brother most weekends to their games as well as the sports ground (Henson when we went there while the SFS was being built) to our games, in fact we travelled to most sydeny suburban grounds. I played a few games there in the juniors as a kid and consider it as a second home, after the SFS.

I give EVERYONE and EVERYTHING a nickname, it's what I do. If Demi (one of my best IMO) hasn't caught on as yet well she's a deadset dildo. I didn't rubbish Demis post I just pointed out her mistakes which were glaring.

What's funny is Demi was WRONG. But instead of manning up and saying, Smiff got that call right, she went on with it. If she wants to tanty up I couldn't give a shit. But I will still continue to point and . And if she wants to have a beer when I'm next down I'm more than willing, no hard feelings IMO.

FFS it's the net, it's a pisstake, we all go for The Poosters, it's all good maaaaaaaate.

    The FlogPen .

    You know it makes sense.

You are suggesting Smith has NFI because you "read a tweet"?. Suggest maybe you watch some games and then make your comments.

Just watched the 1st half of Newtown v Vulcans on fox.

Few things, that Kheiralla could easly play FG he has all the skills, top goal kicker as well.

Tagive, I may have to eat some humble pie here, he is a big unit & I now think he should be given a crack at FG over my belovered Carney. He is pretty tall & can contest a cross field kick.

Bosden, He is not as big as I thought, he is the size of Watmough. Not only is he the size of Anthony Watmough but he plays a very similar style to him. Given an opportunity he could make it.

Jack Littlejohn reminds me of Anasta.

Symonds looked good, I still think Symonds should be in FG.

Anyway back to the 2nd half.

Symonds has been given the dreaded Res grade captaincy. I can't see him getting much of a FG run this year, unless Maubs and a few others get hurt.

He only got named as captain after Khalid Deeb who is consistently one of Newtown's best got ruled out leading up to the game.

Mickey, I think I agree with everything you've said there other than the Symonds remark. Tom is not ahead of Aubusson, Taka, Cordner or Guerra as a second rower in terms of overall value. He may be a better attacking option than one or two of those guys at a pinch but his defence is still too weak for regular first grade. It's a shame cos he still has genuine line-breaking ability.

Kheirallah really is an excellent goal kicker. The development of this kid amazes me. He came from being a prolific tryscorer as a winger in our 20's side, to getting a gig at fullback towards the end of 2010, to turning into a half over the 2011 pre-season, to being our most dangerous half in the trial games. He's now a halfback with a lot of skills and can execute kicks and plays very well. He'd be my pick to come in for Pearce should he be missing during the Origin period.

Bosden and Tagive could both be good performers in first grade. Bosden will have a hard time getting there I'd reckon with Arona doing his job every week. But I think Tagive will work his way onto the left wing over the next few rounds. He offers a lot more than Carney (even though Carney was very good against the Warriors) and even his defence has improved considerably. Being at the game I was very impressed by some of the defensive work done by Tagive and Henry on the right as a team. Henry played well too the other day and there is something about that kid that I like. He looks very skillful, quick enough to be a winger imo and scrambles for loose balls and to cover defend better than most.

After watching that game tonight I can't be too critical of any of Smith's selections.

Yes Peni is taller than Carney and probably a bit quicker but Carney is a stronger ball runner and tackler. Really Carney is just very short otherwise he isn't that bad.

Henry I saw plenty of in the NYC last year he is ok just not quick.

Bosden has some nice footwork and offloads, he could get a chance soon.

Masoe is way off the pace.

I really liked what I saw of Mortimer if he wants a serious shot at a first grade career it's as a hooker/utility player. He can do a good job for us in that role.

I thought Mortimor was scratchy at best for most of the first half. Made a few crucial errors early in the game which you just can't do in first grade. He can't be compared to Mitchel as the back up hooker. With Mitchel on the bench and Maubs in the team, we have cover for most scenarios throughout a game. If Mortimor is to get a run it will need to be in the halves I think.

Bosden needs to work on his carry.

Surely you aren't suggesting that Smith drops one of our try scoring machines from first grade!
