  • Greatest Artist Since 2000?

I know there are people on this forum of all ages.
id like to know, who you think has been the most successful band/artist of the modern era, since the turn of the new millenium.

You know how I know you're gay?

    You like Coldplay.

But seriously, although I hate the bitch, Pink has been pretty steady from then until now.

The only good song I can find since 2000.

      The FlogPen .

      You know it makes sense.

        That's a very hard question.
Radiohead have done some great things since 2000 but their 2 best albums were in the 90's.
I like the first 2 Coldplay albums but since then they've been crap.

My favourite noughties artists include Gorillaz (but preferred Blur more), Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes and The Black Keys.
My favourite decades remain the 60's and 90's however. Oh an I am in my mid-40's but have a love of music across a broad range of genres.

There haven't been any - just ask the man.

Why do you need new bands? Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact.

"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

You beat me to it! I can't think of anyone as I'm stuck in a time warp and do not listen to the radio. All the ones who've impressed me over the past decade have all been indie bands my niece got me into. I did go with her to see the White Stripes and loved them and I'm also a big fan of Starsailor, the most underrated band to come out of the UK in many a year:

Powderfinger were the only ones who really made me part with my money over the past 10 years. These are my favourites from them:

                      Chook.

I love Powderfinger too RWB. I forgot about them. I guess I was thinking of them as a 90's band but they're really a bit of both aren't they?
