You know I believe there is no coming back from this for Joel. Matty Johns', quite frankly, abhorrent act was with a person, however utterly inexcusable it is, but at least she had the ability to say she how she felt, Monaghan did this with a dog.

Being a dog owner, I can tell you that they are loyal and extremely trustworthy if treated right. The bond between a dog and a owner can be greater than any human relationship because dogs don't judge, they don't demand and they don't bring up old hurts. And what Joel Monaghan did is a gross and horrific betrayal of that bond.

This is not something you can rock up to training and have a laugh about next year, it's something that would make anyone with even a modicum of decency revile Monaghan. He really should consider retiring and disappearing from the public eye after this.

I know this seems like a melodramatic reaction but it's close to being the moral equivalent of Monaghan having a child do it, because that's what dogs are like, trusting children.

you have to wonder what is going through these players minds. firstly what was he thinking engaging in such a disgusting act, but if someone took a photo surely he should have known this could ruin him and should have deleted it straight away!

he also must be wondering who his friends are. someone had to have leaked this photo to whoever leaked it to the media. very poor form if they were mates with iceberg.
