I can't imagine pretty boy Sewarrelee being happy as a butt sniffer.

      good problem to have though.
I'll have a stab and guess the reasons might be...
      "he plays Roosters footy"
      "he is very clear"
"he is ready to go afrer it".

Cant believe Billy Smith wont start. He was close to our best in backline last year. Far more effective than Sualii in centres

Sam went lame by his own admission..missed about 9 tackles in each of his last two games before been hooked

Will be interesting to see how Walker handles the relentlessness of a whole season of NRL (praying he's fit).

Coming back just before the excitement and mania of the Finals this year suited his unpredictable Hogwarts style.

The grind of 24 rounds is another thing altogether.

I'm hoping to see consistency from him.

How do you know that is going to happen?
I dont think Suaalii is a walk up start.

second concern is who misses out with Toops, Suallii, Manu, Young and Smith being all fit to start game 1? I fear for Smith missing out despite the fact he’s a specialist centre and has shown how good he can be last season. I fear that TR might put Suallii back at centre which is something I would not like to see, he’s a great winger . Other option is Young at centre, another untried winger to play centre ala Suallii last season.
The slow starts are down to the guru. Robinson has this slow start mentality and it's fu&#ing annoying. Premierships are not won in march or april but a top 4 spot can be gained or lost in this period. Also must win games against lesser opponents are crucial. We have been giving up 4 or 5 games a year that we should win that have ultimately cost us big time.

My concern remains the size or lack of it in our halves I hope young Sam has put on some Ks if not maybe Sandton Smith could replace one of the halves to improve the D

Trent uses the Bart Cummings method. Slowly building into the year, but unfortunately through injuries and losing a number of games against teams we should beat every time we play them means we have to fight just to make the semi's.

The back 5 is simple for me.

                      1. Teddy
                      2. Tupou
                      3. Smith
                      4. Mamu
                      5. Young

Suaalii is leaving next year and based on the signing of the rah rah bloke Tupou is playing his last season here.

Suggestions that Suaalii plays in the backrow isn't going to happen as that position is stacked enough without adding another player to the mix.

I would have let Suaalii go elsewhere.

                        Crazy.
Our best left centre should be playing left centre...if we are serious about winning games and premierships.

Premierships are won in March and April.
As mentioned, top 4 spots can be gained then, making it easier to stay at the top of the ladder, rather than at the bottom and having to win 8, 9, or 10 in a row to make the 8 at the end of the season.

BB, premierships are not won in April but those wins are crucial in positioning yourself to fight for one in Sept.

The biggest problem the Roosters face is the great divide between their best and worst performances.
