If I had to make the decision I'd most likely pass on DCE and inject that money into a replacement for Teddy when he retires or lock down Sammy Walker for 10 years.

I have just read on NRL news articles that Savala is on $85K a season and is free to negotiate with other clubs from 1 November.

If DCE is coming to the roosters, Savala will need to go to another club if he wants to play FG.

Plenty of interest will be shown from other clubs, given Hugo's performance on Friday night.

If we lose Savala , and pick up DCE, that will be the biggest monumental F*ckup in NRL history.

If we're talking about age, if we signed DCE we'd probably lose Hugo and Sandon who would look for opportunities elsewhere but Toby Rodwell has only just turned 19 and Jake Elliott is 20 today, those players would be 21 and 22 by the time DCE was gone so they'd be the future.

If they all left which I doubt then we either recruit from the juniors or go to market. It seems most of the posters here are most excited for Rodwell which is the one we'd likely retain as he is the youngest.

Savala has played 1 good game, I'm keen to see how he goes as well but DCE has been consistently good first grader and a star player for almost 15 years...
