Their ex players have as much bitter bile to us as their supporters do.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

The 1 thing i can take from all the bile being spewed out by these souffs dinasours is how much we've really got under there skin, there so pissed off. I take alot of pleasure out of that.
They will never be in our shadow because they will never get close enough to us. Forever LOL@souffs.Originally posted by turk-283Kurt 79 - Kags 0..

Let me see who was the last Easts player who was referred to as "half a game" ahh that its the late and very great Artie Beetson.
i am sure Sonny is quite comfortable being mentioned in the same company.
it was moments of brilliance and leadership from Sonny that have shifted so many key games for us this year. I as a member and supporter of the club I am indebted to him as well as the rest of this great 2013 side. like all very good players he picked his moments to get involved.
i dont think any of them laid claim to being superstars - they are a great team held together by Trent, the coaching staff, Mini, Sonny and their incredible sense of belief in each other."Qui audet adipiscitur"

Bobby McCarthy was a player who failed to make rep sides in his early days because he played a wide running back rower role. Back in those days it was unheard of, hence his workrate was called in to question. I am old enough to have seen McCarthy, Coote and SBW play. It pains me to say it but SBW is better than all of them. McCarthy isn't in the same postcode as Coote and SBW, Coote was a true great who had it all. He was tough, worked hard, athletic and skilful. McCarthy was a very good player, but there would be at least a dozen backrowers that have played the game who were as good if not better than him.

Correct, Headless.
I am also old enough to remember the older guys.
McCarthy was big (& got bigger) but was also lazy.
Most of the "great runs" were when he attained size & waltzed through tiring defence.
He was good but not in the same universe as SBW.
The trouble with a lot of older sportsmen/women they tend to look back & reminisce & sometimes their memories are a tad way on the convenient side of truth......a bit like older fishermen, whose arms grow longer as they get older.
