He deserves it after all he's been through.

IMO if we can lock Souffs out this year then they'll struggle to field a premiership-capable team next year. If we lose then we're handing them a GF on a plate against an irrelevant opposition.

If we win... lets just say I still hold grudges from 2013/2014. Having a chance to deny either team another set of rings will bring some closure for me.

Souffs fans on bumbook are all jizzing about Merrit, saying he should get a game next week because it'll be his last. They're a bit quiet when I say 'give him a go this week if you're so confident your boys will win... then field your best team for the GF'.

I suspect that yet again Souffs are over-confident and sorta 'know' this is their time. The NRL want their feel good rags to riches story... Russ wants to ring his million dollar bell... I'm just happy we've been given a chance to end their finals campaign. May the best team win!
