and I remember some guy saying well before that, that Gus loved Anasta and it was obvious he would be a target for the Panthers.

Either way.. let's hope gus gets his man. Although with Lewis next in line for captain you would think it unlikely. Stranger things have happened and Gould isn't there to make friends.

It's funny, i have the feeling petro started looking for a release as soon as Georgalis was not given the chance at the top job, word from the camp was that he was mighty pissed off and let all and sundry know about it.

We as we know so far, Anasta still has to sign a new contract, meaning, he is effectivly clubless for 2012....if Gould and the panthers come sniffing, go ahead.

Well, looks like the whole QLD SOO camp knew petro was moving on first

In saying that, Hannant should not have divulged that information and certainly not have said that penrith were lucky Petro didn't leave 12 months ago !

I don't think there is much in that. Wasn't his contract up 12 months ago which is why he was considering going home? Wasn't as if he wanted to break his contract then.

No he wasn't cgoing to break it, but the inference to the Penrith fans to say they were lucky he stayed, seems very arrogant as if to say, they were lucky the broncos allowed him to stay there for one more year

Artie was recruitment officer but Gould would have made the calls I reckon.

how ironic would it be that Gus punts Petro to gain his 'god son' at the riff lol.

as no official announcement has been made regarding Anasta, we live in hope.

He has lost something that he used to have...

He used to have respect from young players - often through intimidation which was never sustainable..

Now the young players just think he is a stupid old goose..
