obviously to win we need to limit their go forward from their big forward pack which then takes cook somewhat out of the game - this will limit their points, but looking at their backline particularly on both wings - two very inexperienced first graders - im seeing points in us out wide - the likes of Mitchell Manu Fergo and Toops against these guys out wide has me salivating. Match them in the forwards - get two or three good runs up the middle then spread and put these guys under pressure. I know we like to win up the middle but the opportunity in this one is out wide.

Generally the cows will have at least 4 or 5 Kangaroo-grade players in their team (mostly big forwards). With zero tactics, they end up getting lots of free penalties from 20m out.
Cows are shiddy but defending multiple sets on your like where it's like BOOM... Matt scott runs it. BOOM... Taumalolo runs it. BOOM... McLean runs it. BOOM... Cooper runs it. BOOM... Hess runs it IS FUKKING TIRING AND BASHES YOU UP!!!! What they then do is rest all 5 for 20 minutes, then send them all at you again (off the back of questionable penalties, all 20m away from your line).
On top of their forwards, they also have JT, Coote, Granville and Hampton, so you are also defending some decent kicks (also JT has so many fukking brain farts... missed a conversion from right in front last week and this week did all this stupid fukking she-it like like cross-field bomb on the 2nd, 10m our from his own line, which the commentators called amazing for some reason... I know what they woulda said if Jackson Hastings had done that!!! Fukking sack the idiot!!!)
Oh and JT in the fukking eats of the ref all game, don't get me started!!! He touched the ref and swore at him with zero consequence last night, when one of his players shoulda been sent off for a karate kick.
Its fukking annoying how the Cows are clearly over the cap and get sooo much preferential treatment. IMO the best medicine for them is to:
- Re-open investigations into how players are being given free houses by a property developer (which they then let out, giving them extra income)
- Send JT off for being a douce to refs. I don't care that he is retiring and could get a wooden spoon in his final season. Fitzy got one and just had to suck it up. Not all stories end with a fairytale so stop trying to rig it!!!
- Penalise them so they cannot use the tactic of barraging teams with more beef in the 2nd 20 minutes of each half using larger, less agile forwards. I saw it last night, Taumalolo and Scott just walk between plays knowing they will get penalties and won't have to defend. Other teams cannot hire so many big forwards because they need more fitness and agility to get back in defence and do more creative plays than the Cows 1-2-3-4-5 hit punch combo (which is so farking boring to watch).
LOL last night it was hilarious hearing OOOOH AND TAUMALOLO STEPS!!! PIROWETTES!!!! DUMMIES!!!! While I'm like looool no... Taumalolo runs forward... straight and hard, 10m out. Matt Scott does the same. McLean does the same. PENALTY. Hess does the same. Taumalolo does the same. Scott does the same. McLean does the same. Cooper does the same. Taumalolo does the same. PENALTY!!! Scott does the same. FUKKING HELL JUST GIVE THEM THE TRY ALREADY IF THATS WHAT YOU WANNA DO!!!

It's only their starting pack that is capable of beating us. Their bench does not inspire me at all. That's why I won't be surprised to see Napa start & maybe SST come off the bench. Napa can stop the Barge-ass boys and SST could be a real weapon against their smaller bench forwards.
