Agree Thirteen mental illness is a terrible thing .
There are some on here that should think before bullying and name calling certain people from Bondi . You sir are not one of them
I searched for somewhere to post this that would be on topic, and came up with this thread. The "fun" part of the thread title should not be applied to the following:
Jimmy the Jet is in rehab...'mental illness' not "alcohol".
Likely won't play at the resumption of the NRL competition.

I originally posted the above in this thread...without the bolded line.
Then re-read it and the thread title...and added the bolded line.
While I was doing that the original wording was quoted and posted about. I just want to make it quite clear that I do not think mental illness is in any way 'fun' or 'funny'.

The possibility of Souths being in turmoil does not upset my mind.
They still have Braidon Burns, Latrell Mitchell, Dane Gagai & Campbell Graham who can play centre.
I hope Jimmy gets over his demons & returns to playing good footy.
Dude is in rehab and lucky its not prison. A true Souffs man if there ever was one.
Jimmy the jet had a horrific upbringing. Mental illness , alcoholism and jail are bye product of what he has had to endure as a child. What he has achieved so far is a credit to him. What's your excuse for being so bitter

The good ole mental illness excuse train with it's limitless seating. The other great thing is that once you've got a seat on the train it's yours forever and you can use it over and over and over again.
Here I was reading media reports and thinking Wayne Bennett was the best coach in the game when it comes to mentoring players with issues as well as indigenous players.
Jokes aside. I feel for anyone suffering from mental illness. I wish him well.
And well done to BB for not starting a thread unnecessarily.
You would have to be a sick person to celebrate someone having issues with mental health or substance abuse and I doubt there would be anyone here that would be like that so taking away the human aspect of it we can be a little happy when any bad news hits Souffs at a club level. James Roberts seems like a nice guy who doesn’t go out to hurt others or mouth off but has some issues so in that respect I hope he gets well. We all hate to hear something go tragically wrong like Peter Jackson or others that couldn’t handle things. Get well Jimmy!
