One name I keep seeing being linked to us is Critta from the riff?? Not that they are credible sources but far out a lot of rooster fans have this fantasy that we might get him, madness.
In terms of being a rebuild I disagree, the real rebuild is when we lose the core group right now - JWH, Cords,Friend, Keary... that will be our truest challenge but until then no we aren’t in a rebuilding stage.

That will be a dark day for the roosters for sure , how blessed we have been to have such a successful businessman have a loving relationship with our club and bring us so much joy and happiness.
Uncle Nick has had the foresight to expand the club's economical portfolio in such a way that we will continue to be a force in the game. His influence at the top end of town and in league circles though could never be replaced.

Cords head knocks have been well covered but I'm worried about Jake as well. A couple of times he suffered from what in boxing terms is called a flash knockdown where he bounced back up and carried on quickly but nonetheless I'm sure he was out for a fraction of a second.
They are two of the toughest players to ever lace a boot for the tricolours and Robbo is at the forefront for player welfare but both of them are at delicate stages of their careers.
I think literally anybody can get a head knock during any game. While some people have worse luck than others, I don't see this as being an indication that they should retire. Maybe they can tweak their technique or whatever, but I don't think there are issues with Friend/Cords' tackling technique.

Obviously we wanna put player welfare first and if doctors are saying 'you will die if you get another head knock' then go figure. Literally nobody's saying that though.

There's no medical evidence to suggest getting older makes you more susceptible to concussion. Certainly not turning 30yrs old, only in professional sports would turning 30 be considered "getting older".

Most medical research suggest people younger than 25 and older than 75 are most susceptible to concussion.

          A good article on it:

I'm a lot more optimistic. Nick's obviously got a plan for us when he moves on, and our board as a number of people who know how to run a business such as Mark Borris, Dave Gynell etc.

I wrote that they become more frequent as players get older if they have suffered concussions and the article you posted mentioned previous concussions.
I have seen it countless times over the years with boxers where they just can't take the shots they used to.

Age has nothing to do with it though, that's my point. Humans are more susceptible to a 2nd concussion if they have had one before and that's true at any age.

The only rebuilding at the club will be more shelves to accommodate more silverware.

When all the experts & the general public put their top 8 in for 2021 I bet 90% of them have the Chooks in the top 4 next year. The Roosters, Storm & I now think the Panthers are the 3 powerhouse clubs & it comes down to which other 5 teams will make up the top 8. The Storm are in a similar position to the Chooks they will be losing 4 or 5 players & will bring in new guys to play along side the established core players. The Chooks or Melbourne mightin win the comp next year but they will still both be a powerhouse clubs.

Where do place Souths mate? Serious not stirring as such.

They are saying Addo Carr will end up there.

My cousin Brayden Smith was only 23 when he died. He had an aneurysm not long after leaving the ring. He'd been trying to change the image of boxing as a sport for the better too and was very close to completing his law degree.

I said to you earlier this year that they would make the top 4 in 2020 but they missed out but ended up going 1 week longer than our Mighty Chooks so some may say they finished higher than us.
2021, they will be there or there abouts depending on injuries.
Like every year I would love to see a Roosters v Souths GF. If we got em it would the greatest day of our lives.
