  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Storm

I’m so pumped for this one. I love playing Melbourne in Melbourne. It’s always such a good challenge. Will be great to see Joey’s involvement from fullback. Brandon Smith will be extra competitive playing against his mates.

We definitely have it over them in the forwards. Hughes always causes problems for us. We need to watch him very closely.

    I expect a comfortable win.

    GO ROOSTERS!

    Very excited
They have Hughes back and only missing paps and NAS from their best side
we have teddy, gus, lodge, sitili, Watson gone

I think with manu playing fullback this will kickstart his season and hoping he takes off, even going back to centre coming in and looking to get his hands on the ball

I’ll let you what you would hate to be a tired defence seeing teddy and manu lurking around keary and walker running the ball with rads, cheese and Watson around the middle - will be hard to stop

Go the Chooks. Massive game fo us to really assert our presence. If we win this without Teddy, Angus, Lodge, and Sitili it will really make a statement.
Hughes is a huge threat, so a big night for our defence will be needed to blot him out.
Cheese will be looking for a big one...... just like my first missus.

The trouble with playing Melbourne is that they always have the game managers on side................................or did that end with Smiths retirement?

Too hard to tip a winner.
              Good luck Chooks.

I hate playing the Storm as it seems to always end with suspensions and injuries. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Joey at fullback. Hoping for a good win and a great start to the Easter long weekend.

The biggest test of the season to date. Beat them and it give us a massive edge over the other contenders. As always it'll srart with JWH and Collins up front. Winning the forward battle will restrict their backs from causing any damage.

Will be interesting to see how Kez and Sammy go with their kicking game plan. With a big strength of B Smith and Manu both being to exploit gaps in the middle I dare say that the boys might not attack out wide as much

We always seem to play well against the Storm, should be an entertaining game. Chance of some drip, hopefully doesn't have an impact.

Tough test to beat the gritty storm on their home deck and they have started to get some of the guns back. Hughes and Munster will pose plenty of questions with Grant sniping around the ruck. Locking up Welch with his offloads will be a key and Hutch faces a tough evening with Olam charging at him. I would be a lot more confident if Teddy was playing but we are a big chance if the forwards aim up like they have the last fortnight.
First time we've had Klein since the finals debacle against Souths.
