Whilst it is always dodgy, just thought I'd say that after having missed out in the presale, I found 6 genuine, good seats online for really good prices.

Big thanks to mickc, He_NZ and qldrooster, and their generousity in giving top quality seats to someone who would have missed out otherwise.

There are some pricks looking to rip you off, but then again, it's easy to forget that normally, people are pretty nice.

Obvioulsy not a master criminal - getting all his victims to meet in the same place. Anyway, I heard the cops nabbed someone for this.

My wife works with one of the people who were duped. The Novotel came to the rescue they opened a function room which had 2 large screen televisions
and provided canapes and unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks for 50 -60 of the
        people affected.

That's an awesome gesture by the Novotel.

I thought so and well worth informing people of their gesture, great PR.

              I'm thinking I wish I was scammed..

Sounds like I could have had a feed, stayed dry and gotten drunk...

I also would have seen more of the game than from the bottom of 141..

Ripped off by Ticket Finders NRL Grand Final

I got ripped off by Ticket Finders too. Will never use again - total rip off and don't care about their customers.

Unlike many others I did eventually get the tickets but they were in the wrong category. Paid $325 each for A Category tickets and got C Category tickets instead.

They finally arrived in the post on the Friday before the Grand Final, despite paying $17 for Platinum Postage (supposed to be guaranteed next day delivery), I should have received the tickets days before. Maybe that is part of their business plan - send the wrong tickets out late and then the customer has no chance to be compensated or the ability to contact them.

When phoned to speak to the Manager numerous times that Friday I was told he was "in a meeting", "gone to lunch", "in another meeting", and eventually "he has gone home" - quick to take your money but unable to speak to a disatisfied customer. Buyer beware!!!

why anyone supports these leaches is beyond me, but if you have anything in writing from them that proves that you didn't get what you paid for, you should initially try and get a resolution from them

if that fails, lodge a complaint with the NSW Dept of Fair Trading

                      Yeah right....

                      Use PayPal.

If you get defrauded you should eventually get your money back.

I got a dud watch from someone in Melbourne and eventually got my money back from them.

Can't believe what im reading here... they are still at it!!

Ive just been ripped off by ticketfinders.com.au While doing some research on them I came across this thread. I have received a response from a woman who took her teenage son who had cancer on a lifetime trip to NZ to see his fave band U2 only to get there and be told her tickets were fake and not be allowed in!! How can these guys still be operating? If anyone has been done by these guys I urge you all to call Catherine from the Dept of Fair Trading who is trying to nail these guys now. Ph: (02)47025380. Help us shut these guys down for good. Also, please read the report at http://www.ozripoff.com/report-view/...icket-rip-offs and if you have had a bad experience with them, please list it there warning others. I want to shut these scumbags down for good before they hurt anymore people Thanks.

You may also get some protection if you can pay by credit card (not debit card). Should check with your card issuer as they have responsibility around merchants.
                            Serioudly this is worth checking
