The ongoing brain injury to our guru coach is our biggest problem.
Until he gets that fixed we will continue to struggle.

You are a funny guy....is there a correlation between performance and sudden outbreak of acne in playing group...lol

We’ve definetly copped our fair share of injuries again this year, but nothing rivals the previous few years with 2 players lost to ACl’s 3 years in a row…

Not sure if it’s a training issue or just bad luck?

That’s why I’m so disappointed with Robinson tinkering with his team earlier in the year when we had minimal injuries,as you need to have your best team on the field available because before too long injuries will hit and you lose that luxury..

How are they going on Mini's diet?

Players train too hard and for too long and go way overboard on weight training . rubbish wrestling and jujitsu training and game simulation practice.

Only so much a human body can take and endue not withstanding that in reality the human body is not made for playing such sports

The strain and stress on muscles and ligaments etc as a result of increased training. practice and playing time eventually takes it toll on players

To have players injured at training during the so called game simulation practices always baffles me as well as surely the players will cop enough in a game as it is and don't really need to cop it at training as well from so called friendly fire

Under the CBA in the NFL contact training as they call is limited to once a week and when undertaken is filmed and sent to the NFL for review.

Melbourne were the first to do all this and everyone copied it.

Surely there are folk out their developing a smarter way of training that reduces the strain and stress on the athletes body and the risk of a whole host of injuries that 20 years ago were uncommon or even unheard of - Syndesmosis and Pectoral injuries for instance

This is the trainer JWH has been working with. Very professional and walks the talk.

Is it all bad luck? I don't know enough about conditioning footy players but is there something wrong with how they are prepared?
You’re making excuses for only you know what

The side has been pretty much close to full strength for some time… the results suck

As I've stated more than once, I'm not making any excuses. I'm merely asking if there is something wrong with how they are being prepared.

You must admit, the injury toll over the past few seasons has been astonishing. Is it all bad luck?

There is a theory that if you go into every tackle or play with effort then your chances of getting injured are less than if you are not fully committed to the play.
Perhaps that applies in our case, there seems a distinct lack of commitment, possibly brought on by confusion or lack of confidence.
As a club we have to expect injuries, and make sure we have a squad which can provide depth, this is especially true when we extend players like Toops and JWH, who will more likely than not be injured or need their playing time managed.
I think we have been sorely lacking in this type of management.

Wouldn't it be nice if the Handbrake got injured..... nothing really bad.... just enough to stop him ever being considered for selection in the top 17 again.

He'd be handy at half back this weekend. That would put Manu back in the centres where he is better use to the team.
