  • Fifita Gone

The Roosters have withdrawn their offer to David Fifita. Despite his management making the initial approach to the club and Fifita informing the Roosters’ chairman and head coach of his intent to join the club , Fifita has since expressed doubt about his decision

Gee whiz **** that then I was a huge advocate of his signature but if he’s already ****ing about not worth it my word wtf what a waste of time.

    I wonder what has happened?

Very unprofessional and embarrassing on his part, but if his heart wasn’t in it then we dodged a bullet… now let’s focus on resigning Angus and beefing up positions in the backs.

Is this just twitter or an official club announcement?

poor form all round if true, Angus will now ask for a million dollars.

Better we don’t have players like this at the Club!

What a disaster, no Fifta and Angus and Stili must be offside with the club

I’m not to fussed. It’s no guarantee that we would have reached that huge protection. Realistically he dominated about 3 games a season. The rest of the time he’s average.

I watched the Tits game closely on the weekend. He did a couple of good things, but was lazy and ineffectual for the most part. Not sure if it was just a bad day or what, but it appears Gus is playing so much better at the moment.

Oh well Tallis got what he wanted, it was really a luxury signing for us as we have stock in the back row. But I’m always dirty at blokes who renege, have some respect to your word, either for the titans who you were originally contracted with or the roosters who you’ve signed with.

10 day cooling off period where his current club the Titans can convince him stay. Just confirmed that he will stay at the Titans

Agree with Gus Gould on this who doubted this signing as being the right fit for both the player and the club - The Roosters have a stack of forwards and Angus must be the priority to re-sign now. - Keeping Sitili as well despite his detractors.

The Roosters need outside backs - centre and utility that can play Fullback - may need to promote internally such as Ethan King who is a fullback and can play centre as well - came through the juniors with Sandon Smith , Robert Toia , Siua Wong , Hugo Savala , Tyler Moriarty , Xaviar Va's etc.

If he’s that indecisive, we don’t want him. The real disappointment is that Tallis is going to be such a smug tw*t about it.

Extremely happy about this. Hopefully now can get Gus sorted to stay long term. But it makes you wonder who is making the recruitment decisions because lately has been a shiteshow and extremely embarrassing
