  • The Scoreboard Flattered Souffs

They scored all 5 tries off piggy back penalties, 3 of which were a mystery to all but the men in pink.

3 tries as a direct result of SKD's inability to read the play, the bloke surely knows if you rush up in defence like that, you either have to make the tackle or interupt the play, Sheck had no choice but to follow SKD infield.

The Pearce, SKD, Sheck side will be bombarded this season, that is our major weakness.

Our left hand edge was superb in both attack and defence, Why the fark our halves kept going the other wat confused the hell out of me.

Whether it was Maloney or Pearce calling the shots, they got it completely wrong.

Finally our kicking game was disgusting full stop!!

Souffs were the better team, but fark me they had a huge leg up from those pricks in pink.

They won the ruck easy..that's why they were getting those dodgy penalties..

And Inglis is a better fullback than Slater..probably the best i've seen..

I'm no fan of Sutton but he looked good tonight. Got his nose through the defence nearly every time he touched the ball.

I reckon Souths will be very disappointed when they watch the replays. With the amount of times SKD was out of position they should have put 60 on us.

An interesting stat is that we had 6 linebreaks to their 4.

If that stats correct BM, and I have no reason to doubt it, it just tells me Souffs were very good, well Inglis especially, and took their chances when they came along.

We played like a side that's only just learning a new structure with the addition of key players and when pressure was applied some blokes reverted to the bad old ways.

What's that old cliche, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I believe we can and will improve.

Mate if we had their ball we could of put plenty on them.

Credit to Souffs they won but for a supposed top team I think some of their tackling is ordinary.

I thought they played disciplined controlled footy. They played to their obvious strengths. They took their chances when presented.

They reminded me of Melba. They strangled us into errors and panic.

Their 1/2 has a brilliant kicking game. Inglis is a freak. Their coach is very very smart.

                    Very good side IMO.

We never really got a decent shot at them and were never given a chance to build pressure and test their defence.

Hard to be too excited about their win....see how they go when they have to earn it.

i used to think jamie soward was a milkman but the souffs half surpasses him by far!
im a bit curious about the way inglis uses his arm to break tackles its not realy a palm off more of a mini punch? worth looking at?

mate what i found funny was not the palm which he flicked off skd, but straight after that inglis was on the ground and skd went to flop on him and still missed him!!! SKD-OMG.

PS For inglis they will allow that rule change of punch/palm just like his "try" in origin 1 last yr.

Inglis was good... every time he got near the ball something happened.

Is he going to be forced to play for NSW with the new rules? I bet not!!!
