  • amazing how the minor premiers can be flying under the radar

must say i'm happy how we seem to be flying under the radar at the moment, all the media coverage this weekend has been about the Knights momentum, Manly's toughness and the Bunnies desire to end the 42yr drought.

we have been just sitting back and quietly going about our business and are willing to just let our football do the talking.

the way media sentiment has shifted we will be considered underdogs by the time the game kicks off on saturday night.

Was thinking the same thing last night.
The news had stories about the other 3 but no mention of us.

Perhaps...but i find it disrespectful to have to read about that Sutton, Reynolds, Buderus and Stewart in all papers when we are the top dogs...maybe I should say the top Coqs?

can only hope all this pro Knights media talk, is taken as a sign of disrespect by our boys and what we have done so far this season, and they come out full of fire and brimstone on Saturday night.

A humble and talented team is a hard one to crack. Let them have the lime light now. It doesn't really matter for anything. The Roosters will strut around proud when it is needed.

We can blow them out of the water in the first 20 minutes.

Getting into an arm wrestle with them will make life harder.

Bennett will have them primed for a dog fight. It's how we react that will determine the outcome.

This is reminiscent of the hype surrounding the 2000 Preliminary final. Newcastle were going to lap the Roosters. We had a ragtag team of one or two great players and a bunch of rookies. The history books showed a different result though.

The 2000 knaughts were no 2013 Roosters. Our defense is perhaps the best ever. Our attack is also very good and we have SBW. Unless our team goes into the match thinking that they still have to win it, w will lose it.

Happy for the Roosters to be left alone this week and very happy for the media to talk up the knoughts. For mine, this game has an element of 2010 GF payback to it given the opposition coach and the number of ex 2010 merge scum players such as jermy smith playing for the knoughts.

                              under the radar we are

content that Bennett is in the lights

funny though, his comments that belief will win them through is almost admitting that the talent is a bit south

anyway every joey out there is geeing them up

....may take the kids to watch the lads train tomorrow, bewdiful weather for school hols
