Sammy is a very important part of this side - as much off the field as on. And he absolutely loves the club.

Great stuff JT and thanks for passing on the news about Sam's son.

      excellent thread.

Perret is a roosters legend in the making.

Channel 9 made a comment that the MoM was only just won by Carney ... over Perret.

Sammy was our best of a bad 2009.

Glad to hear about his kid.

        Chook.

I don't know if I misheard on the call but one of the sideline spuds said that Sam Perrett didn't get the accolades he deserves.

Last time I checked, he is a winger in the New Zealand test side.

          A place he deserves btw.

You will not find a better family man than Sammy. Nor a more honest guy.

And JT is right, he really loves our club.

I too have the utmost respect for Sam Perret. So much so That previously on this site I have called for him to be club captain

I deny it. I think he's been excellent all year. Just like I denied it when you wanted Frank-Paul sent to Newtown despite him being our best forward all season.

Just like you said that Finch was the answer and would win us a future premiership at halfback.

I think you'll find I said no such thing.

My preference was for Finch ahead of Soward, at half. Nothing beyond that.

The good news is that sams kid is now out of intensive care but still faces at least another month in hospital.

Sam has received great support from so many different people during this time.
