  • The solution is straightforward

If Carney asked for permission not to attend the Gosford game so that he could visit his Mum, and then didn't go but instead went to Kings Cross, he should be sacked immediately

If this is what he has done, he has lied to the club, and lied to his team mates, and after all the support and the chances he's been given, that is not good enough

Some of you will make excuses for anything

    Wake up

No player is bigger than the club

    Thank you H.L. Mencken.

Now, understand this, that was said with the most vitriolic sarcasm.

You needed to start a new thread to say what you have already said?

Get off your soapbox, dickhead. I would rather lose a few self-righteous and pea-hearted supporters like yourself than Carney.

I agree. look at me, look at me! I couldnt give a shit if Carney was on the piss or not. Watts is the man with the problem, and should be stood down.

We finally agree on something Adzta. Watts should go to prison. He has commited a pretty terrible crime. Carney is an alcoholic that has fallen off the wagon.

TOK pull your head in, everything is not about you although you would like it to be.

                    The solution is simple.

Stop reading the lies from the DT and from Beetroot face.

So was it Vodka or a shandy?

                    ****ing leech.
Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

I agree. He has lost the trust of the club. Extended time off or a sacking is the only solution

                        Agree.
One of the ironies is Carney used his Mum to inflate his reformed image by taking her to the Dally M. If she gets on Today Tonight and excuses her "good boy" i will be sick.

Where do you draw the line ?

He relapsed now, he will relapse next week etc etc.

It's sad that he has this problem, and unfortunately it looks like it will ruin his promising career.

Instead of making excuses for the guy, flick him off.

We already gave him plenty of chances.FFS, his whole stint with us was supposed to be his 'last chance'. He has been through 2 more of them.

I'm sure many would argue that he was doing nothing wrong.

                          He lied to the club.
He is drinking during rehab - breaking a club rule.
He knows that being seen on the piss will land him and the club on the front pages - yet he does it anyway.
Cares more for the drink than supporting his teammates on a road game - the very same team mates that are expected to protect him on the field. No wonder our attitude on the field stinks.

TOK may be a tool, but on this occasion he is right. Carney needs to go. No more excuses for drunks, we drew that line in the sand a long time ago.

If he is an alcaholic - well, then he is not cut out for RL in this day and age.

Just because he is very talented should not excuse him.

                          See ya Todd.

The responsible thing for the club to do would be to help him sort out his issues, but get him the hell away from the team and the media until he does.

This seemed to help Jake Friend and Carney in the past.

Unfortunately having your best player in re-hab does nothing for our on-field performance but (1) he is still only young and still very talented and can still contribute to the club in a big way in the future if he sorts his shit out and (2) taking a step to get the right culture in the place is more important for the club than one seasons performance.
