If they brought in suspensions for 'friendly fire' then there would be a dozen suspensions a round.

Thrilled by the scoreline but it was Brisbane. Our defence was soft at times.

You can just feel we are building.
There are many positives from last night like Sitili & Hutch (Probably could do a TV show together), Kyle, Butcher Tedesco, and so...and whilst I am able to accept some lapses in defence because this is not our best squad, it's the silly unforced errors which has been creeping up since the storm game 1. As much as we all love Boyd, he is making far too many passes that lead to intercept and some to tries. That try that led to Stagg's try, Boyd should have just caught that ball and gone to ground because he was never in position to get that to stick. He's gotta know when to hold em, and when to fold em...

They said something about his technique being the best in the comp? Doesn't always convert itself into accuracy (e.g. JT has odd technique but you'd give him the pressure kick during a GF for sure). Still... great sign!

I love Sitili's supportive play. For just about every try he was running next to the person scoring 'just incase'. IMO that small stuff adds up in aggregate coz you're giving the defence doubt/options.

              • where Bondi boy to put a negative spin on a great win, can't believe we put 59 and 58 on the Broncos in one season. good times for roosters supporters.

Jake Friend as Willem Dafoe and JWH as Tom Berenger. Who's the young Charlie Sheen in this?

Heaps of positives. Looks like we have some great backup players. And the most pleasing thing is we didn’t hit our straps and still smashed them.

You should look at the game more deeply than just saying a guy played well because he scores a good solo try. Without this try you would not have mentioned Butcher. He was solid but no better or worse than usual. Surely one effort doesn’t equate to a fantastic game.

                      • Boxing trainer Glen Rushton a perfect fit for the drongos and a punting mate of Langers.

                        • That broncos forward gets a grade 1 charge for dropping his knee with full body weight on a a prone, injured Friend. Just like NAF's head shot the previous week. Proctor's did he bite him or not (no injury whatsoever to SJ) gets 4 weeks.

I want some of what the MRC is smoking.

Butcher has made 131 from 132 tackles in the last 3 games. Not bad, however he has done little with the ball this season apart from a solo effort against genuine wooden spooners.

I reckon you could put that down to the SBW effect. You bring Sonny into the squad and suddenly all the existing players especially the ones who could potentially lose their spot, start to fire.

Sonny might not even have to play a game, he could just force the others to play so good, he can’t even make the team.
                              ..it’ll be interesting to see
