  • Does Crichton return for the Gold Coast or the following game?

I read that Origin 1 counts as a game on his suspension. Does anyone have any colour on this ?

Robbo didn't mention Cords in his presser which was weird

          Was he asked about Cordner?

Agreed. But where do they both play? They are both 80 minute players who play on the left side. Sitilli has been great on the right, so I can't see him missing out.

            Might Angus move to lock?

I'm pretty sure he was asked about which guys he would be getting back for next game and I think it was only Angus.

Does that mean Radley shaves off a week due to Origin?

Two weeks. Should be back vs Storm.

It will sort itself out because everyone knows deep down that Cords career is one hit from being over & it will happen.

I don’t think so, my understanding is that Crichton gets a week counted as he was an incumbent.

                      I may be wrong though.

They have to prove he would have been chosen.

Makes sense R6 if that’s the case, must say it’s a strange system either way..

Which you can't do in any definitive way because the coach hadn't picked the teams yet (and they didn't get to play the week before Origin while teams were being picked). Thus, I think the best you can do is plead with the NRL overlords to accept he had a serious chance of being selected but for the suspension. Factors that I'd be guessing play-out are:
                            - You're incumbent.
                            - The media's been reporting that they wanna see you play Origin all year.
                            - You were invited to Freddy's camp as part of Origin prep.
                            - When asked, Freddy says 'yeah he was definitely on my radar'.

IMO they'd be pretty liberal as losing the opportunity to play Origin is a massive loss... bigger to most than missing a game of footy IMO.

if gus couldn't have had this soo counted then he would have been effectively suspended for 3 games.
hard for freddy to look at one of the blokes he has picked in this team and say rads was my first choice but he would have had discussions with alexander and maybe they'd decided to go with him and if that's the case then it would be unfair if at least one soo didn't count
