24 MAN SQUAD v SHARKS

I have mixed feelings about last week. I'm not totally disappointed with the way we played - I think we competed well in that game for large portions of both halves. It's still hard to swallow the final score line though, I was hoping we would come a little closer than that.

On to the Sharks, whose form has been a little indifferent lately, especially with a few key personnel missing - we all know how that feels, right? But Kennedy is back and Hynes is playing very good footy. Even Moylan has returned to some kind of form after a couple of seasons of, well, crap basically. They also have some good, big bodies, and will not be easy to contain.

Tupouniua returns from his head knock, which means DSF drops out. Hutch named to start at Hooker with Watson in 14. May retains his bench spot.

JWH, Collins and SST all starting should give us some good go-forward against the strong Sharks pack. Good to see Sitili back and on the bench. He should provide some good impact. Side looks good.

Terrell May at 17 is a wonderful sight. Hopefully he can cement that bench spot now, and hopefully Robinson gives him more game time than he had last week. Had arguably one of the better runs I’ve seen from our forwards all year with his first hit up. Robbo needs to trust his bench more. Really liking the look of the bench as well, good impact players with Sitili back as well.

Pretty much the same starting side as the one that kept the Panfers scoreless for half an hour, with heavy hitters JWH, Collins and SST.
Perhaps its seen as the way to get a good start against the lesser sides (ie also points on the board) after some slow starts this year...

we've got a few guys out but it's still a strong team. we've had a few soft losses this season but if we can win this one and a few more that are coming up then we're still in a good spot

Sio Siua Taukeiaho is just another prop in the #13 jersey. I would've preferred Angus or Nat or even Egan to get a crack in that middle role and try a bit of ball-playing.


Almost looks like we've taken the Cowboys tactic/approach with our forwards.

I would be very surprised if that's the 17 we run out with, Sitili gives Robinson some more options this week that he just didn't have last week.

I would be surprised if Egan Butcher doesn't come into the 17.

Egan Butch not named for Bears either. Needs to get footy under the belt so if doesn't get a run Saturday will play Bears on Sunday. Lam too, although also not named.
