Nobody was complaining when Carney was getting pissed every night in Atherton whilst under contract with us. Nobody was complaining when he was getting pissed here in 2010 and we were winning. The only thing that changed was our performances in 2011 and needing yet another scapegoat to go along with Finch, Sticky, Chris Anderson, Freddy, Mason, and Ogre.

Funny how in 2007 we went from certain wooden spooners to being one of the best teams in the comp when Freddy took over, and then wooden spooners in 2009 when we didn't like Freddy any more. The nucleus of this team been rotten for many years and it has little to do with Carney, Myles, or the many other players and coaching staff we have gotten rid of.

Instead of blaming Carney for 2011, we should have been asking why the rest of the team only perform when Carney was able to put the game on a platter for them.

He says that Smith and Anasta caused him to leave. No news there unfortunately.

Carney had lost the trust of pretty much everyone within the club well before his sacking, Smith had massive concerns as early as pre-season training in January 2011 and wanted him stood down for the season after the minor drink driving charge for Todd's well being, Politis wanted none of it and it caused a fracture that didn't heal until the sacking.

The best thing for both Todd and the club was to part ways, it sucks but it really was.
