Can’t wait. I’m expecting a big game from Lodge, especially as he had a full pre-season with us this year.

        Bring it on.

        GO EASTS!!!

Yep hopefully he steps up without JWH and Crichton there. My mates keep telling me it'll be a cricket score but the Dolphins have essentially a vintage storm pack plus Nicholls. With Wayne as coach (having already dropped Milf for not having the right attitude... I notice Ese'ese also dropped off), I'm expecting the Dolphins to show up with some big cojones.

Bromwich x2, Kaufusi, Wallace and Nicholls are tough dudes. Anything less than a big game from Lodge (as the leader of our pack in JWH/Crichton's absence), Collins, Rads and the Butcher brothers will kill our chances.

Curious to see how Allen, Cheese and Sua'ali'i play too. I'm expecting us to be a bit disjointed but there's really no excuses for it as the Dolphins are brand new and (IMO) their depth drops off pretty quickly compared with us.

We should get the win but the Dolphins will have a huge crowd behind them up there.
I would have preferred to have Turpin as a specialist hooker on the bench to give the cheese a rest when he has a break.
Right side backs worry me but our spine is full of class.
            Easts to win

Saw these on special while stocking up for today's BBQ (gonna do a chilli con carne, corn, spud, ribs and gourmet sangers as we're hosting a few neighbours and I love having lotsa leftovers for lunches...etc).

Got a few 4-packs as they were $11. Hoping that they gel with the game

Yeah, I’m waiting on the 3:05 team update, expecting a late change.

                  Getting nervous already.

I almost posted that myself earlier today Matty. Hope you are well.

I've made twice cooked salmon with mediterranean vegetables and cauliflower rice for lunch and for 5pm, I have a green vege burger with beetroot, tomato, chilli jam, olives and 2 kinds of cheese. Drinking kale and spinach juice from my Roosters champagne glass. Have frozen berry Greek yoghurt for dessert with fresh strawberries and blackberries. Also had beetroot wafers before with olive dip...yes I know..way too much red and green food...

With some dodgy recruitment and team selections, I'm not entering the season with too high expectations.

Hope we play wirh good intensity at least, befitting a game in honour of the legend that is Artie.

The Dolphins have a fair pack and a fair back line so it is not going to be easy at all today. They will certainly be up for it so hopefully the Roosters will be too.

Be interesting to see how much work was done on the basics to see if there is any improvement in this area as with a temperature close to 30 Celsius and hotter on the field you need to nail the basics.

You don't want to be doing more defence than what you have to do because of poor ball control

I think they offer drink breaks when the temperature is over 30 Celsius?

I can see a caning in the penalties coming up. Couple that with a Radley sinbinning and our boatload of injuries and I reckon it's 50/50.

                              Easts 24-20.
