Herein lies the problem with the trolls and bullies on here. Invariably, they all have one wide eyed adoring sycophant or puppet who likes to follow them around and 'quote' them like a lovestruck school girl, giggling and flipping their 'look at me, aren't I clever hair" desperate for attention. Sad how some people end up absorbing the personality traits and mannerisms of another when they hang out in bad company for too long. They lose all sense of self and allow themselves to be manipulated into being someone they never used to be. It gets very tedious after a while.

I wonder how many will look back at the way they've conducted themselves and be proud of this period in their lives.

This is what I had hoped. While one popped up today, I didn't hear from him (or his alts) and my commentary was in general terms.

It's definitely a lot more pleasant without confrontations about this matter as (sadly) nothing has really progressed in this space.

I did a course on this at ANU the other week (aimed at professionals in the field) where I met a broad range of people whose business involves understanding modern day geopolitics. The discussions I had there (and have at work every day with large M&A clients who are either invested in China or have money coming outta China) are far more interesting and productive. Respectfully, I'm gonna prioritise them.

It’s in my nature to give everyone a fair go as I was bullied right throughout school as I have a disability which is visible, something I was born with. I make no apologies for fully embracing difference and tolerance and acceptance of all regardless of an individual’s unique or quirky traits. I went to uni because despite all of that I was given a brain and was an above average student. This will not change no matter how much someone may attempt to belittle and misrepresent my character. I think Paddo took his ‘unique’ perspectives into the away thread as demanded by the majority on here - and rightly so as it’s not footy related. I tried to have a reasoned debate with him about his pet subjects as I know you did. In fact you engaged with him even more than me as you’re a far better debater than me. But I think there comes a time when we just have to say enough’s enough. I respected his right to have an opinion but he certainly doesn’t respect our opinions. Everything is so black and white with him.

Also, the double meaning posts are such an interesting way to communicate. I am true to myself and my beliefs. Oh and I think my parents would be very proud of the way I conduct myself in here and in life generally. As am I.

Thanks 08. I am legally blind. I can see but very very badly and getting worse in old age - not related to what I was born with, just old age adding to it. I could never read the blackboard at school amongst many other things. I may be legally blind but I can still ‘see’ what goes on and am not stupid. I loathe bullying behaviour and can pick it a mile off. Bullies like to bring you down to their level. They like to snipe and belittle and say nasty things to try and get you to react in the aggressive way they do. Ignoring it doesn’t help either I find, but standing up to it certainly does.

Agree and the worst kind of bully is the one who pretends to be a victim so they can attack others by making people defend them . They have joy in the attention it brings them .Like you I was bullied until I decided I wouldn't be anymore .Being a bloke that was more physical which I'm certainly not proud of but I'm 60 now so back then that was the only way

Laughable and pitiful from a desperate lonely spinster who is exactly what she tries to portray others to be. That’s why I initially responded to you and RT about on your comments yesterday as I was pretty busy and didn’t have much time yesterday to be on here

There are certain people I’m happy not to respond directly to and to give them next to no air time If another calls them out and I think it is warranted I will back them up

Giving some people zero air time which is what I personally now do is far more powerful then any response

I urge others whom do not like a posters shenanigans to do the same

No I respectfully disagree, ignoring doesn’t work but a strong assertive non aggressive response does. Well that’s what my experience says. That’s what works for me. I also forgot to mention the other favourite tool, is the power of exclusion. ‘We don’t want you hanging around with us’ is what a kid would say in the playground, but an adult can use other means to make you feel excluded. And yes that post could be directed at any number of members, you are right. It doesn’t change the fact of what it’s intentions are.
