I'm glad it came to light the full extent of the corruption and i hope it hasn't ended here even though the most of the named corrupt people have passed on now.
It sure was disturbing. I had trouble getting to sleep after I watched it. How a government could treat innocent victims and their grieving families in such a way is disgraceful.

Played a beginners game of croquet a couple of weeks ago and given a crash course in the skills and strategies, it was a fun afternoon, may take it up a bit more seriously sometime.

This was at the Marrickville Croquet Club in Marrickville Park. The one at the Cooks River is at the Concordia Club opposite Tempe Station.

Damn mate, THAT has definitely gotten me interested.

What are they like to restore? I imagine relatively simple but small, tricky to disassemble and not necessarily easy to find parts for?

I took my son to Luna Park over the x-mas holiday and it was AAAAWESOME!!!! Brought back lotsa great memories...

Also as a (now) Canberran, the train over the bridge was a pretty cool experience.

Can be very tricky and fiddly. Alas I have quite a few dead ones. Sometimes it's as simple as finding a working module to put into a nice case that had a dead module.

The old Luna Park before the Ghost Train tragedy was a magical place.

I loved the Old Luna Park and the Royal Easter Show. Great memories from a long time ago.

Linking that in with hobbies, I have one of the cable car gondolas from the old showground (have renovated it as a little 'room' for playing retro games and sipping limoncello).

Was fantastic as a kid, the upside down house, the river caves, the ghost train and Coney Island. Would have been 6-7 when my father took me on the Big Dipper, as a young child it was terrifying but i think my father was even more terrified. The old wooden ferry ride over from the Quay to Luna Park was also good.

Growing up in Paddington we were only a block away from the Showground, so many great memories of the show as we would be there 3 or 4 nights as my father had free passes as he would work there some days fixing the public phones

The very last year at Moore Park even as a grown up i kept on going on the chair lift as they said they weren't taking it out to Homebush
