Isn't Neil Henry quite a disciplinarian as well, and that didn't help with Carney at Canberra.

Call me a pessimist, but I have little faith that Carney will stay off the drink and out of the headlines in the big smoke of Sydney.

Why would we want to, we've already got a good one.

Thanks PTB. I'm also a realist.

And the reality is signing Carney is a huge risk, and one that could blow up in the Roosters faces in a short space of time.

I admit that the main reason I am anti-Carney is that don't want another year of our Club being in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

And I don't trust Carney as far as I could kick him, which wouldn't be far.

Same here Lauren,as football ability goes he is great and we would be mad not to sign him for that alone butttttt the excess baggage that goes with him,is it worth it?Do we give him a chance for him to prove that being away from the bright lights have been good for him,i just don't know.

The mail on Todd is that he is on the wagon, and has been for a good while. He is a changed man - working behind the bar at the local has been part of his therapy. he works for Mission Beat on his nights off and attends church every Sunday. He is a work in progress - This is what he will bring to the Roosters. Not only will we have a great player, we will have a role model for our club. What a bargain!!

I see over on the South forums that apparently Carney has agreed to terms with them and will be a Rabbitoh next year lol. Probably went hard for him just to beat us lmao.

He needs to bunk down with one of the Christian Coconuts - otherwise if he's anywhere within 30 kms of town and hangs out with our numb nuts under 20s and the Foran idiots with Pearce, he's screwed.

Do not know how true this is but i would not be suprised. Maybe not a player Brian Smith wanted next year?

Did Bwian Smiff bring Tim Smiff thru???

One talented troubled youngster who wants to get back into the NRL.

                        You know it makes sense.

Tim Smith was at his worst when Michael Hagan was coach at Parra - the same coach that aided, abetted and sheltered JoE Johns all those years.

Souths supporters are starting to ramble about signing Carney.

I really hope it happens, for all the garbage they have given us over showing interest in him it will make them look like grade-A hypocrites.

I think we're missing the point here...
The Cocks don't sign the guys who the coach wants... the board/selectors do all the signing. I sorta wish it was like the Socceroos where Aussie Pim basically said "these are the boys I want... they are going to be the squad" I sorta wish the coach had more of a say.

But don't you think this will change when Brian Smith comes? or it would be pointless getting him.
