    About bloody time!
You gotta look past the general seating facilities. It needs more corporate suites to entertain the sponsors. It badly needs improved multi team change rooms that meet current standard.
The overall layout is fine, that is why it will remain at the same capacity. And it's not like it sells out much.
You've only gotta go to the brand new stadiums to realise how much it really has dated. Plus it's the closest to the city which meets govt guidelines for funding.
    Hooray, I say.
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

I object to having to wait an eternity from the time 20s finishes until first grade starts...and as such having to arrive at the ground many hours before first grade starts.
Improved multi team change rooms would be extremely useful.

        Memo to NRL;

Fans are sick and tired of sitting in the rain, and cold winds...so they stay home and watch the match on tv.

Not sure why everyone is against this move. Im looking forward to it but surely they will make this stadium with a retractable roof.

As someone else said the problem with Anz Is that it's in Homebush.

It's in the middle of nowhere and there's nothing to do out there before and after the game.

I went to Origin 1 a couple of years ago and had the 'pleasure' of being packed like a sardine on the train platform for close to an hour after the game. What a dreadful experience.

Knock the ****er down, cleanse it with holy water and never build out there again. Have the SFS as the premier stadium and save 1 billion dollars.

I reckon we should split our games between Central Coast (2 games), Adelaide (1 game) and the remainder split amongst Leichhardt Oval and North Sydney Oval.
Surely the least inconvenient alternative is to play out of the SCG for the supporter base of the Roosters - its the same location. I know its not a great ground to watch RL from but for a season i think that's the best option. Its a great venue in all aspects besides the round shape(i know that's a big one but for a season its bearable). Its food and bar outlets are better and they would stick us in the members surely like they do with the Swans members and the facilities in there are great. To be honest its the best ground in the world from a historical point of view. With those old stands and then the new ones its a great venue to go to, you can really feel the history there which almost every other major ground in the world has lost. Everyone remembers the old sports ground with such fond memories- that was a round ground as well wasn't it.

This is hallowed turf they are gonna destroy. All our modern history and memories.

I can still remember the spot Gary Bridge broke his leg in game 3 season 1988, first yr on that ground. And the great Dancing Dallas graced that hollowed turf...and well as other muppets like Fittler etc. The stadium is hardly old..

I remember going to see my first game at the Sydney Football Stadium too. It was against the Dogs. Early on Sandy Campbell got hit so hard that the bruise covered his whole thigh and was useless for the rest of the game. Papworth trudges off with a broken wrist and I think it was Wayne Marshall who was carted off for a knee reconstruction. We had all these new buys after a great 1987 season and 1988 was gone in one game. Talk about the revenge of Henson Park! We've made up for that over the years.

The article on the roosters website has some artists impressions of what some of the stadium will look like. If it turns out like that I would be more than happy

I went to the concert that opened Allianz (then SFS of course) - not that I can remember now who I saw! It is a great stadium for watching footy and I hope it will be the same once re-vamped. Will be interesting to see where we play out games when it's out of action. Will Para Stadium be completed by then? If so I reckon they will play a few games out there, as they have a good western Sydney supporter base, including this Chook.

Anyone up for Hensen Park for a year? Cold Tinnies and pies on the hill.

club has already said we will play the majority of home games at the SCG

Love watching footy at the SFS but this should be the last time it's mentioned in the same sentence as ' hallowed turf . In the scheme of things very little history really

Yes, I read that as well after posting - can't say that I've enjoyed the last few games we've played at the SCG, probably because I've been spoilt by the superior view at Allianz. Oh well, it's only for 2 years I think, and hopefully members get the better seats for league watching.
