its just a trial but maybe taking out a bit of insurance for the season....Sam probably wont play every game at 1/2 , so sometimes Keary to half and Teddy and Lam interchange 5/8 and fullback during a game. Just gives Trent 1 more option in his playbook...

I only watched highlights of the Raiders trial but Naiqama seemed to be standing at FB when they scored a few tries. Did he do a stint there or was this just him running over as cover or something?

Are we getting to the stage where trials are becoming redundant ?
The way the players prepare now and are ready to go from the first game is a far cry from yesteryear when the first few rounds were mistake riddled affairs full of handling errors.
Just hope we get through without any injuries the scoreline in these games is irrelevant.
I'm sure most of those players you mentioned will be ready to roll in the first round.

Doubt Lam will play one game over than coverage during Origin. Most have already echoed their thoughts on him as a half, and I’ll tell you what, what he did at fullback against Canberra, he’s not a FB either. Looked sub par in a side of reserves, that’s really hard to do.

He is playing Fullback because they need someone, anyone there this weekend, who is pretty much not in the frame for another position, other than a back up 14.

Based on that Dragons v Eels game I think we should definitely be careful. There was an ACL and a heap of charges made (I think 'Trell opened his mouth about the game [why?!?!?] and might be in strife too).

It's a trial, not a game. I hope we enjoy it rather than going out trying to play finals footy.
