Yeah I agree. I honestly believe it’s helping in Canberra at the moment, that and the fact the government locked down fast. The numbers would be far worse if we’d followed GB’s way. Still the sooner we open back up again the better for everyone and I believe vaccination is the best way to do this. That’s apart from letting it rip through the entire country till we reach herd immunity, completely destroying our health system. Not to mention the number of dead bodies.

Canberra is getting it right. Our numbers surged in the first week of lockdown on the back of the delay it takes to start feeling the effect but numbers are going down with zero cases today active in the community.

We are going ok but in saying that I needed to get to the chemist and supermarket this morning and noticed a bunch of teen girls with no masks congregating on the chairs outside the mall. It’s idiots like this that couod ruin it for the rest.

medical advice can change as risk changes - e.g. young people were told not to take the az vaccine but with an increase in cases and the increased deadliness of delta they are being encouraged to take it.

That’s exavtly the thing Zac. This has never been seen before so everything is a learning curve for those making the decisions and those affected by them. I would rather follow changing direction than have no direction at all.

I know I’m not RT but we had only 8, but they adjusted the timings so those figures may be artificially lower than normal.

The good news though is all 8 were in quarantine the whole time they were infectious, which is the point of the lockdown.

You are the same age as me, Tina Arena and Nicole Kidman...
I had no idea that was happening MR as I've blocked a few posters. Funny how they still think I can see them even though the ignore function is implemented. They hate me yet follow me around apparently still quoting me and back answering like wilful toddlers..funny thing is at least 2 of them are older than me also. What a waste of time and energy they are expending but don't realise it.
I consider it a privilege to grow old too as 3 of my sisters passed away before I was born in the 1960's. One was 5 days old, one was 6 years old and one was 12 years old. Many families lost children in the decades leading up to the 80's before a lot of medical breakthroughs were discovered. Just about all of my friends of my generation have stories to tell about siblings who died of childhood illnesses and are no longer with us.

I wonder if this old person was vaccinated when they were young?

I also wonder if they know that we know that they have certain people on ignore yet they still reply to their posts in an indirect way after they mysteriously know what’s being posted?

Who follows who especially after saying they were leaving yet still hang around?
