Yeah. Dunno what happened with all the Easter eggs in Woolies. There were loads of them there on Thursday and in fact soo many that they had just about everything on special but on Sat morning there was absolutely nothing in the store! They must have cleared them out for some unknown reason. Shyt luck if you needed to get some at the last minute.
I did did however find tones of them on Sat arvo in Big W which is strange as they are part of the Woolies group. Why none in the supermarkets but plenty in the dept store?
Back onto dunny paper... what’s the bet toilet paper manufacturers cry poor when things get back to normal and no one is buying because they are using up the supplies they amassed during the crisis? Same goes for supermarkets who will see a definite downturn in sales when things return to normal."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

144 rolls of toilet paper?
I would not have stocked up on that many...a month ago.
But now... when I was promised by the govt that there was plenty, would be plenty of everything...and all I see on tv are empty shelves...why aren't army trucks being used to transport toilet paper to the supermarkets?...and it's obviously "every man for himself", I'd have to think seriously about doing the same.
Woolworths have none available for delivery.

The specials change over in price every Wednesday and the toilet paper gets delivered on Thursdays. I hope this helps

I know what it's like as I can't carry a great deal at a time since I had my surgery but I like to eat healthy (when not having roast pork and Lindt bunnies at Easter) and stick to my weekly budget so online delivery is good for that. If you and Mrs BB do get stuck, there is an option to set up priority delivery. My sister and uncle are from your generation so I am happy to help if I can.
I no longer live in Sydney, so that could be the problem.
My heart is still in Spring St.
Born in Rose Bay a year after the war, I lived in Bondi until I was 4.
According to me, my screen name qualifies for use in this forum .
I still have some. When I was venturing out into society before all the new rules, and there was plenty I bought a packet every week,
Then when the limits started I lined up on one morning at 7am and got another packet.
The people lining up were all standing close to each other.
The store was packed, shoppers like sardines in a can.
I was wearing a mask.
Since then I'm staying home.
I'll be fine thank you...rumour has it that the Retirement Village management will not see any residents stuck.
Something about Ms Greiner heading a special govt committee investigating treatment of the elderly in retirement villages and aged care(aka 'assisted living'/nursing home.)
Think one too many scenes on tv of elderly folk with dementia etc in nursing homes being bashed.
I like to provide for myself though.
I do thank you again for your help and will try your advice.
Worry not please.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-14-2020, 04:29 PM.
