I am amazed there are still "Roosters supporters" like, actually, I won't bother to name them, who still don't get this issue. What will it take, another 2010 or did you people think that was totally above board and won fair and square by the stains?"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

Just hilarious. It's not enough to crucify our team by trying to penalize them out of games, not to mention the mysterious calls such as unexplainable scrum feeds to our opposition on our line when they knocked on as we saw last night - some want to see us have players removed from the field as well. Splendid.
Then after we have a 15-2 penalty count against us, and we are playing with 10 men, perhaps we could have acid thrown in the eyes of our remaining 10 players? Maybe we could be sure Souths will win then?

This clown is missing one glaring fact, the last few years the chooks have been still the most penalised team & have nowhere the defense record they boast this year. These boys are the fittest team in the comp & can last out anything most teams can dish up. And still return fire with intrest.

I heard the story on ABC and was gobsmacked!!! We are giving away a stack of penalties, as are Manly, and because we are the two best defensive teams, we must be cheating and should be further punished to bring us back to Melbourne and Souths!?!? Whatever he's on, I want a pound of it! Does he seriously think we gain an advantage by having to do more defensive work then our opponents, by them getting a free ride out of their own half, or an open invitation to attack from within our 20m zone?

The wise posters on this forum have already explained how this could not be possible, and that you must be a very silly person to believe otherwise. You must be only about one tenth as intelligent as these posters who, rolling their eyes and shaking their heads at silly billies like you, know that we have deserved to be massacred for the last 10 years, in spite of completely different coaches, players, ball boys and cheer girls.
Or in the words of Tony Archer, Ben Cummins, Jared Maxwell and Gavin Badger, "you think we're doing something wrong? Try and prove it. We say you are just undisciplined".Last edited by Frozen chook; 08-12-2013, 03:26 AM.

The Roosters have the best defence.
The Roosters are the most penalised.
Therefore the Roosters have the best defence BECAUSE they are the most penalised.
In other words, they are cheating in defence and getting away with it.
His solution:
Sin bin Roosters players if they concede 3 penalties in a game.
Suspend Roosters players if they concede a certain number of penalties in the course of a year.
(Then, presumably, it will be much easier for Souths to win the comp.)
interpretation of you getting an advantage of at best 1second in a tackle.
Then if your team gets a run of these you get a player sinned binned.
The reason we have the best defence is because we have the coach of the year who is a man keenly focused on detail, the role practice plays in on field execution and the players commitment to all of the above.
To have this rubbished by some superficial recount of stats - no analysis of why these penalties are begin awarded.
Suffers from what a lot of statisticians suffer from just simple regurgitation of numbers -no analysis because this requires an understanding of the game and not just some basic accounting skills to get a gig covering sport.
