Hey Paddo, as someone who's never read a book (except the Tele), I'm disappointed your OCD didn't compel you to comment on the observation that indeed EVERYTHING you write is "as though it is the last word".

Their end game is an independent Islamic State - East Turkestan. Furthermore, the East Turkestan movement has been proscribed by the UN Security Council as a Terrorist organisation which has attacked the Chinese State several times. Osama was a regular visitor urging jehad against the "Chinese Infidels". The US was a signatory to the listing. The Uyghurs are not all in camps, there are millions of them, but those found to be associated with East Turkestan certainly are. Peter Dutton must have wet dreams about such a situation here. Morrison won't even agree to repatriate the wives and children of the Aussie jehadis still living in sqalid camps in Kurd territory, how might we react with a Uygher type minority living here?
Now all of this is fact and it came from research that I, knowing nothing about the Uyghurs, undertook because of what I saw coming from News Corp which, clearly, is a cynical, low rent, warmongering, lying, reactionary outfit that controls 70% of media in this country. Your children and grand children are going to have to fight in any future conflict if you let yourself be gulled by that lot.
