    I had to google it.............

Dunning-Kruger effect, in psychology, a cognitive bias whereby people with limited knowledge or competence in a given intellectual or social domain greatly overestimate their own knowledge or competence in that domain relative to objective criteria or to the performance of their peers or of people in general.

I thought the Cowboys always got robbed and we always got preferential treatment.

Source: Cows' coach during their presser (wasn't fined or anything for calling the comp corrupt + biased towards us. Drizz call the refs cheats? Bin + 3 week suspension. Knights call the refs cheats? Bin + maybe a few weeks).

          The lead up to this

E Buther loses the ball in attempting to play it and the ref rules knock on

Tedesco uses the captains challenge not for the knock on ruling in the play the ball but the alleged earlier high tackle by Flegler on Sitili

The Bunker upholds the challenge for the high tackle and the Roosters were awarded a penalty.

The debate about this penalty was that it was viewed that play had continued on past that tackle and thus no challenge should have been allowed.

I recall the NRL ruling was that since the play had not progressed to the next tackle after a correct play the ball that during this stoppage in play Tedesco could challenge as the incident occurred during the same tackle.

I don't see the difference in this ruling in allowing the challenge as play hadn't progressed either and there was a stoppage in play.

By the sounds of it both the Ref and Linesperson saw the escort which if so raises another question why it was not penalised onfield instead of it having to be challenged by the Cows and referred to the bunker for them to then recommend that a penalty be awarded.

Stop talking sense this is the Chookpen.

I feel sorry for the Tigers not just this week but every week.
The top teams always get the breaks & the bottom teams always get the rough end of the pineapple.

So you are saying the Roosters are a bottom team then?

Where was the stoppage in play yesterday? It was either fulltime or a play the ball. There was no actual stoppage. In your example, Butcher's knock on was the catalyst allowing our challenge. What was the catalyst yesterday?

The tigers players eyes followed the ball and ran back towards it from the time it was kicked, Field was never getting anywhere near it.
Horrible decision by Klein and how he got the top gig in origin underlines the power base in the refs ranks with Sutton and Cummins which has dominated the game for the last decade.

I like Mickie, but I think he takes the devils advocate persona too far.
I mean how can a Roosters supporter be so cool about the years of corrupt officiating we've copped?
Even if his statement is true it doesn't mean we should accept it when it can be easily rectified. The NRL needs to start listening to the fans instead of betting companies and television networks.
