  • The vaccines did what they were supposed to in that they kept the death rates low and kept people out of hospitals and flooding the health system.
It's time to get on with life we have got to learn to live with it, the real inflation rate is going through the roof as a result of the world being lockdown for two years and we can't afford it as societies aren't designed for it.
Protect the elderly and vulnerable and the rest of us get back to normal.

If we were conned, they wouldn't be opening up at all.

Not everyone got vaccinated, and now the vaccines are wearing off. By the time the footy season starts it'll be like no one was ever vaccinated.
Except those who've had a booster.
Seems to more than one person that the protesters won the day....and the govts ran away.

Players' wives have jobs to go to, kids have to go to school, but surely there should be some rules.
But no, it's now open slather.
Daily infection rates are at record level, and hospitalization and ICU numbers are slowly increasing. Another death yesterday.
NRL players have lives too. They can't live in a bubble forever otherwise they will need to start to looking for a new job.

A new job they'd be getting wouldn't be paying megabucks.
If megabucks come with their current job they should accept a bubble willingly.

You should listen to dance monkey, read the lyrics too. You're behaving like the people described in the song.

            • Finally...the NRL has decided to do something.

"Players banned from pubs, clubs, movies under new COVID measures.

NRL players have been banned from all indoor venues such as pubs, nightclubs and even cinemas, and will need people visiting their house to pass a rapid antigen test beforehand".

                • Lets lock them all up in concentration camps, away from their families, after all, they have no rights, they are only here to entertain us.
Disregard the FACT that less that one in ten thousand Australians have been CLAIMED to have died from this virus. 2300 deaths.
Disregard that more than 90% of those CLAIMED deaths have been aged over 60, that leaves 230 deaths aged under 60.
Disregard that at least 75% of those deaths had serious co morbidity, that leaves about 50 deaths.
Disregard that ZERO active NRL players have died from this virus.

LOCK THEM ALL UP..... THEY HAVE NO RIGHTS.

Hopefully they won't suffer any permanent damage.
These NRL bans should've been introduced long before now.

With their fat contracts comes fat responsibility.
They can watch movies at home, dance around their homes with coloured lights flashing, dine out on the balcony or in the backyard...and RA tests for any visitors.....it's not difficult.
It's easier than the trenches at Gallipoli.
